The Glass - sexual health programme. Developed as a result of discussions with teenagers regarding their attitudes to sexual health. It is a factual, psychologically based group/individual participating programme.
Teenage Pregnancy (What it would mean) - open discussion relating the impact pregnancy has on life from the teenage perspective of both sexes. The session involves a video presentation on childbirth, understanding in greater depth the reproductive cycle and the importance of the use of contraception. The long term financial implications (CSA) are also involved in this session.
Anger Management/Conflict Resolution These sessions involve identifying trigger points, discussing negative and positive responses, re-framing thought patterns, highlighting social awareness skills, dealing with verbal abuse, physical abuse, bullying, self-harm (including drink and drugs). Developmental changes are addressed and pupils are encouraged to take part, if appropriate, in role plays.
All programmes allow for open discussion - time to listen and share. Individual counselling available at all times. Each topic can be delivered independently according to identifiable need.
